Challenge
The standard Shopify checkout was built for Western markets. It does not know what a Nova Poshta branch is, what cash on delivery (COD) means, or how to pay with Monobank, Ukraine's largest digital bank. Ukrainian shoppers are used to placing an order in 30 seconds: pick a branch from the suggestions, pay with Apple Pay or on delivery. Every extra step and every redirect to a third-party page means lost orders.
The other side of the problem is operations. Managers had to create waybills (TTN) by hand, copy orders into the CRM, issue fiscal receipts and chase customers who never finished paying. And marketing could not see real purchases in GA4 and Meta, because custom checkouts "lost" conversions.
Solution
We built DobroCheckout, a full checkout app for Shopify built right into the store's theme. The shopper stays on the site: autocomplete for Nova Poshta cities and branches, autofill for returning customers, phone number validation, promo codes and loyalty points, and four payment methods — card through Plata by mono (Apple Pay and Google Pay are available on the bank's page), Monobank installments, bank transfer and cash on delivery.
For the store team, everything is automated: orders sync with KeyCRM, waybills are generated and printed in bulk with one click, delivery statuses update from Nova Poshta tracking, fiscal receipts are created through Checkbox, a software cash register (PRRO) that issues the receipts Ukrainian tax law requires, and Monobank refunds are issued right from Shopify Admin. Because DobroCheckout fully replaces the standard Shopify checkout, order analytics run through Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Native Shopify checkout analytics and some automatic integrations (such as Meta Pixel via Shopify Checkout) are not available in this mode. Everything runs serverless on Vercel with no database of its own.
Results
Status: Production: running live on real stores. Delivery model: a custom app for each client — a separate Shopify app and a separate deployment, not published on the App Store. Subscription: $500/year or $50/month.
